*/Persona /**review, from Theatre and Film Department of Escola Superior 
Artística do Porto, issues a call for scientific works about theatre, 
film and other arts for its number 1, about /Creation/. The works 
submitted will be considered in /peer review/ by the scientific 
commission, which is composed by Roberto Merino, José Manuel Couto, 
Jorge Palinhos and Marta Freitas (theatre), Abílio Hernandez Cardoso, 
Jacques Lemière, Anabela Oliveira e António Preto (film). The works to 
submit may be written in portuguese, spanish, french and english, and 
must be sended until May 15, 2012.*

*PERSONA *is a theatre and film review pointed to encourage studies in 
both areas and to promote their diffusion in a systematic way in terms 
of dialogue between theatre and film, but also opened to the 
intersection with other artistic areas.

In a time of fast changing and technological progress, to which both 
theatre and film are, each one at its way, permeable, a time in which 
the the maturity of theatrical and film expression propitiate a 
creativity without compliance which everybody can understand and be 
touched by -- a time in which the diversity of ways of living and being 
together drives to new ways of conviviality but also to solitude, for 
that reason demanding a new artistic consideration -- it becomes urgent 
to think what were and are both theatre and film in their processes of 
becoming themselves and others, new and different, without forgetting 
the past of each one of them and other arts, where lies maybe theirs 
greatest richness. It is in this context, in which changing and 
conservatism fight each other in all areas, in which /performance/, 
/multimedia/ and /interactive/ forms become more imposing, that /Persona 
/wants to be a new qualified space to the presentation and the debate of 
ideas about theatre, film and other arts and forms of communication. An 
exigent review, but opened to all contributions, able to accept the 
reflection about the past and the present, but opened to the future.
