MECCSA 2013 'SPACES AND PLACES OF CULTURE': SECOND CFP


Dear colleagues - many thanks to all those who have submitted abstracts
 
for our conference at the University of Ulster’s Magee campus in 
Derry/Londonderry (2013 UK City of Culture) from 9-11 January, 2013. 
It's beginning to look like a diverse, lively and high-quality event.  
We know
 that some people may have missed the first deadline so we are 
putting out
 a second CFP to allow for this. If you would like to submit 
an abstract
 for a presentation or panel, please go to the website at

full details of speakers and themes. Then press 'Submit Abstract' to
 
upload your proposal. THE DEADLINE FOR THIS SECOND CFP IS OCTOBER 12TH 2012
We are anxious to encourage people to register for the conference
 as 
soon as possible so that we can plan the programme in good time;
 
details of accommodation and transport are also on the site.


PRIZE DRAW

To encourage early registration still further, Derry's City Hotel - the 
main
 conference hotel, see www.cityhotelderry.com - is offering the 
prize of a free weekend for two in the hotel,
 from 11-13 Jan 2013, for 
the winners to stay on and enjoy some of the City of Culture events.
 
All early registrants will go into this prize draw and the winners will 
be notified
 as soon as the Early Bird registration period is over, so 
that appropriate travel arrangements can be made. We look forward to
 
hearing from you.
