[ecrea] CfP: Deadline extended to May 15, 2012 - ECREA pre-conference on Communicating Climate Change - The Audience Perspectives

The ECREA 2012 pre-conference on ?Communicating Climate Change III ?
The Audience Perspective? abstract submission deadline has been
extended to 15 May 2012.

Please find attached the Call for Papers for further information and
procedure to submit abstracts.

The Institute of Journalism and Communication Studies at the
University of Hamburg is organising the pre-conference in
collaboration with the ECREA Thematic Sections of Audience and
Reception Studies, and Science and Environment Communication. Plato
College of Higher Education will host the event.

The pre-conference will be held on 23 October 2012 in Istanbul, Turkey.

We invite scholarly contributions on the following topics, but other
aspects of the overall conference theme are also welcome:

·      Methodological approaches for studying audiences in relation to
climate change and other environmental issues within the changing
communicative landscape
·      Climate change, communication and media: what influences public
perceptions and behaviour?
·      Public opinion on environmental issues
·      Effects of news media on public opinion toward environmental
and climate change issues
·      Public perceptions of environmental, climate change and natural
hazard issues in western and non-western countries
·      Scientific uncertainty, risk and audience views on climate change
·      Climate change, media and politics

Submit a maximum of 500 words abstract of your research paper to the
