Ethics of Surveillance
Monday 27 February - Tuesday 28 February, University of Leeds
This is a two-day conference to discuss some of the ethical challenges
arising from surveillance. Although a basic human practice, surveillance
has received little attention in the field of normative ethics. This
conference seeks to address this by looking at both theoretical and
applied issues.
Keynote Speakers:
* Charles Raab (University of Edinburgh)
* Tom Sorrell (University of Birmingham)
* Katja Franko Aas (University of Oslo)
* Juliet Lodge (University of Leeds)
Registration, programme and abstracts for the conference are available
from the following website:
http://www.idea.leeds.ac.uk/2012/01/surveillance-ethics-conference-2/
<http://www.idea.leeds.ac.uk/2012/01/surveillance-ethics-conference-2/>
There is a limited number of places available at a cost of £20 to cover
both days.
The organisers would particularly like to thank LiSS-COST and the
University of Leeds for financial support which has made this conference
possible.
Apologies for the resend - hopefully this version is more readable.
