*JCMR Releases Vol. 14, No. 2, October 2022 edition – 30^th Issue*

We are pleased to announce the release of Volume 14, Number 2, October 2022 edition of the /Journal of Communication and Media Research/ (JCMR) which is the journal’s 30^th issue since it started publication in 2009. Every issue has been released regularly and on schedule in April and October of every year.

The Volume 14, Number 2, October 2022 issue focuses on *COVID-19 Pandemic Coverage, Media & Public Relations, Media for Development, and Films & Film Production.* The issue contains 17 articles written by 32 authors (28 from Nigeria, two from Kenya, one from the United States of America, and one from Zimbabwe).  Soft copies in PDF are being sent to contributors through email. The online versions of the abstracts and full articles are also being uploaded onto our website: https://www.jcmrjournal.org <https://www.jcmrjournal.org> Interested readers are free to order for either the print version or freely download the abstracts and full articles from our website.

*Supriya, Karudapuram E., Ph.D.,*(also known as Dr. Supriya Karudapuram) is a Teaching Assistant Professor in the Department of Communication, University of North Dakota, 213 O’Kelly, Grand Forks ND, U.S.A. He specializes in postcolonial power relations and cultural identity with emphasis in Indian identity.

*Githinji, Martin Kuria, Ph.D.,* is a communication expert and lecturer in the Department of Communication, Media Film and Theater Studies, School of Performing and Creative Arts, Kenyatta University, Kenya. His research interests include media studies, corporate communication and development communication.

*Njuguna, Ann Waihuini* is a communications specialist in strategic and technical communications handling corporate communications, branding, campaigns, behaviour change communication and communication for development. She works with Options Consultancy as the Head of Communications for The Girl Generation-Support to Africa Led Movement to end Female Genital Mutilation/Cut. Prior to joining Options Consultancy, Ann worked at Plan International Kenya.

*James, Akpandem Friday* is a postgraduate student in the Department of Mass Communication, Bingham University, Nigeria. He is a former Managing Editor/Chief Executive Officer of Daily Independent Newspapers Limited. *Odebiyi, Stephen Damilola*holds B.A. and M.A. degrees from the Department of Communication and Language Arts, University of Ibadan, Nigeria. His research interest covers the aspects of media studies and applied communication.

*Ogedengbe, Kunle, Ph.D.,* is a Senior Lecturer in the Mass Communication Department and the Acting Dean, Faculty of Arts, Management and Social Sciences at Trinity University, Sabo, Yaba, Lagos State, Nigeria. His interest is in public relations, advertising, strategic communication, international communication, marketing communication, development communication, sports communication, journalism and media studies.

*Ogunshe, Adenike Adedayo* is a microbiologist and a director of Pegasus-Zion Community & Environmental Health, Nigeria, Ibadan, Nigeria. Her areas of research interest include, Community Health, Educational Health, Environmental Health, General Public Health, Health, Safety & Environment, Gender-Based Issues, Wellbeing & Wellness, as well as, STEM. She is also an Ambassador of the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC) of Nigeria.

*Ogwezzy-Ndisika, Abigail Odozi, Ph.D.,* is the first female Professor of the Department of Mass Communication, University of Lagos, Nigeria. She has served as the Head of the Department. Her areas of expertise are Advertising, Public Relations and Development Communication; with research in gender studies, social inclusion, political communication, health communication, media and cultural studies, indigenous communication and popular culture.

*Ohaja, Edith Ugochi, Ph.D.,*is a Senior Lecturer at the Mass Communication Department, University of Nigeria, Nsukka, Enugu State, Nigeria. Her research interests include journalism, communication education, new media, the ethics and effects of mass communication.

*Okocha, Desmond Onyemechi, Ph.D.,*ORCID - 0000-0001-5070-280X, is a Senior Lecturer and Head, Department of Mass Communication, Bingham University, Nasarawa State, Nigeria. He holds a B.A degree in Management from the United Kingdom, Master of Arts in Mass Communication from Sikkim Manipal University, India and PhD in Mass Communication from Nims University, Rajasthan, India. His research interests are in Media and Society, New Media, Corporate Communication and Automated Journalism.

*Oluwasola, Omolola *is a doctoral student in Communication and Language Arts, University of Ibadan and lecturer in the Department of Media and Communication Studies, Afe Babalola University, Ado- Ekiti, Nigeria. Her research interests are journalism, advertising, public relations, marketing communication, digital marketing and development communication. **

*Onyechi, Ngozi Joy Ph.D.,* is a senior lecturer at the Department of Communication and Language Arts, University of Ibadan. Her research areas focus on developmental communication (health and political communication) and media studies.

*Otun, Olalekan Salmon* is a Lecturer in the Department of Mass Communication, Nigerian Institute of Journalism (NIJ), Ogba campus, Lagos, Nigeria. His areas of research interest include: Public Relations, Advertising and Health Communication.

*Oyewo, Ayanfeoluwa, Ph.D.,* is a lecturer in the Faculty of Communication and Media Studies, Ajayi Crowther University, Oyo. She was previously a lecturer at Kola Daisi University, Ibadan in Nigeria. Her areas of interest are media studies with specific focus on safety of journalists; development communication and advocacy; crisis and conflict management; human, social and civic rights; children’s health and safety; and gender studies.

*Oyewo, Obaloluwa* is a chartered accountant and business scholar with particular emphasis on Entrepreneurship and Small business. He works at Chrisland University, Abeokuta, Nigeria where he lectures and performs other administrative duties. He is also a doctoral student of Business Administration (Entrepreneurship and Small Business) at Babcock University. His areas of interests are e-Eommerce, Financial Technology and Entrepreneurship. **

*Oyewo, Olusola Oyeyinka, Ph.D.,* is a Professor of Organizational/Applied Communication and Head, Department of Communication and Language Arts, University of Ibadan. Ibadan. Nigeria. His research focus and interests include: Rumour, Diversity Studies, Applied Communication, Organizational and Business Communication, Business Journalism, and Fake News.

*Pate, Umaru A., Ph.D.,*is a professor of mass communication and the Vice Chancellor, Federal University, Kashere, Gombe State, Nigeria

*Shaibu, Husseini Hassan, Ph.D.* is an Adjunct Lecturer at the Department of Mass Communication, University of Lagos and Head of Strategic Communication Department at the National Troupe of Nigeria, Federal Ministry of Information and Culture. He has considerable industry experience in Culture and Film Journalism, Broadcasting, Film Production Management and in Public Relations and Advertising.

*         Taiwo, Israel Oluwaseun* is a Lecturer at the Surveying and Geoinformatics Department of the Federal Polytechnic, Ado Ekiti and a PhD student in the Remote Sensing and Geoscience Information System Department of the Federal University of Technology, Akure.
