Abstract
How does the media space (press, television, web) shape the definition
and assignment of values to various entities? While evaluative tools
based on quantification proliferate – from indicators to rankings, from
charts to barometers, from big data to like, from comments to notes –
and contests, prizes or awards are flourishing, this book aims to shed
light on the media logics, processes and discourses at work in the
production, circulation and publicization of evaluation.
