[ecrea] 3rd European Conference on Social Media ECSM 2016
Tue Dec 08 21:01:25 GMT 2015
This is the Extended call for papers for the 3rd European Conference on
Social Media ECSM 2016 being hosted by EM Normandie, Caen, France on the
12-13 July 2016.
This call will close on the 16th December 2015.
There is no doubt, social media have and will have a huge impact on our
societies ...With social media, a stranger can become a friend or a
cyberbully in one click; a nobody can become a star ... even what we
think true might just be the last buzz. No sphere of our life
(education, government, businesses...) is spared. Connected yes ... but
connected to what, to whom, for what and what might happen if you are
not connected
Social media is being adopted and applied in almost every area of human
activity, be it for personal applications, in education, for commercial
applications or in the public sector. The rapid uptake of social media
is related to many factors including its ease of use and adaptability to
different devices.
In addition to the main conference topics, the advisory group invites
submissions to the following mini tracks:
* Social media and innovation
* Drivers and Barriers of Social Media for Improved Organisational
performance
* Role of Social Media in Blended Learning
