Social Semiotics, the Taylor and Francis journal, would like to send a
general call for contributions.
Since its inception in the 1980s, Social Semiotics has pursued high
quality research and analysis. It has featured critical investigations
of all aspects of culture, language, media and communication, publishing
peer-reviewed papers that use methods from visual communication,
Critical Discourse Analysis, systemic functional linguistics, rhetorical
analysis, sociolinguistics, sociosemiotics, pragmatics and other forms
of investigation that take a critical position.
We continue to seek the best papers combining close reading and
critique, focusing on any aspect of language, media and communication.
Papers should be of usual article length (c. 8,000 words), should be in
fluent English and can be submitted for initial consideration direct
