Special Issue *“Struggles and contemporary challenges of communication”*

Research in communication sciences can be framed under the theoretical
paradigm of tension: between the professional and the amateur, the
public and the private, individual and collective, or the copyright and
the copyleft licenses, among many others. This special issue with two
volumes tries to collect a wide range of these tensions, which may
include multidisciplinary research.

Subject coverage:

Topics of particular interest include, without being limited to, the
following ones,

-Access and and consumption of the Internet in minority groups

-Transmedia Storytelling

-Levels of media literacy in different profiles of users

-Journalistic practices in traditional media and new media

-Techno determinism & Political communication

-Communities and alternative media

Sphera Publica is a multidisciplinary journal of social sciences and
communication, edited by the department of Communication Sciences at
UCAM, Spain, with open acess, double-blind review and international
editorial board.

Indexed: Dialnet, CIRC (group C) and Catálogo Latindex  (30 criteria
achieved).
