Etmaal 2013 - Call for Papers

In 2013, the Etmaal van de Communicatiewetenschap (24 Hours of Communication Sciences) will be organised under the aegis of NeFCA. The Etmaal will take place on 7 and 8 February 2013 at the Department of Media and Communication, Erasmus University of Rotterdam. It is organized in cooperation with the Erasmus Research Centre for Media, Communication and Culture (ERMeCC).

The Etmaal committee cordially invites you to submit abstracts for presentation, high-density sessions, posters or panels. The aim of the Etmaal is to reflect the rich variety of the field in the Netherlands and Flanders and abstracts can address any topic within the range of the NeFCA sections:

   1. Culture & Entertainment
   2. Health Communication
   3. Journalism
   4. Organizational Communication
   5. Persuasive Communication
   6. Political Communication
   7. Media Systems & Policy

Abstracts should be a maximum of 750 words and address the research topic, the academic field the research is positioned in, research methods and (preliminary) results. Abstracts should be submitted before 23:59 on 26 October 2012. For the Etmaal, submissions can be done at the EasyChair Website: https://www.easychair.org/conferences/?conf=etmaal2013.

To facilitate a wide range of presenters, each participant is limited to having one abstract as first author accepted for the conference. If additional conference space is available, additional abstracts may be accepted.

Abstracts (and papers) can be written either in Dutch or in English in order to facilitate the increasing internationalization of communication research in Flanders and the Netherlands. Authors will be expected to present their paper in the language in which it is written. If this is not the case, please note this on the first page of your manuscript (example: This paper is written in Dutch, however I will present in English.)
