[ecrea] new book: Portable Moving Images: A Media History of Storage Formats
Tue Aug 22 16:53:06 GMT 2017
De Gruyter has published a new book on the media history of moving
images. Written by Ricardo Cedeño Montaña, research fellow at the
Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, Portable Moving Images: A Media History
of Storage Formats is a a step forward in decoding from a historical
perspective the storage media formats of which usually only highly
specialised technicians speak. The book explores a series of portable
small cameras, playback devices, and storage units that expanded the
production of film and video to the home.
The book is already available at the publishing house website as well as
in Amazon.
