Future Issues of the Journal of British Cinema and Television

Vol.2. Publication date: November 2004. This will be the first un-themed 
issue of the new Journal. Papers should be no longer than 6,000 words in 
length, and may be on any subject relevant to the Journal's remit. 
Proposals of approximately 500 words should initially be sent to the 
principal editor: Julian Petley, Department of Human Sciences, Brunel

Vol.3 Visual Style in British Cinema and Television. Publication date: 
May  2005

Visual style is an important, but critically neglected, aspect of British 
cinema and television. Topics covered may include one or more of the 
following aspects: cinematography, editing, art direction /production 
design, or costume design. The focus could either be broad, on a particular 
period or genre, or narrow, on a particular cinematographer, designer, 
director, or film.

Papers should be no longer than 6,000 words in length and, where relevant, 
contributors will be expected to provide good quality copies of any 
illustrative material referred to. Proposals of approximately  500 words 
should initially be sent to the editors: Vincent Porter, School of Media,
