The conference is devoted to the impact of the changing environment upon
the basic principles of journalism, journalistic values, goals and
methods of work. The complex of external factors - social, political,
technological, cultural etc. - considerably affects the core of the
journalistic activity and reporters' self-consciousness. The goal of the
conference is to clarify the cause-and-effect relations between the
external factors and the specificity of journalistic cultures, to
determine the possible dimensions of the changes, to describe different
aspects of this process (e.g. epistemic, axiological, deontological ones
and many more), to discuss the problems of professional journalists
cultures research.

Registration deadline: June 15, 2011.
Registration fee
3500 rubles (about $120) for foreign participants;
2000 rubles for participants from the Commonwealth of Independent
States.
