Call for Editorial Board Members
The editors of KOME - An International Journal of Pure Communication
Inquiry http://komejournal.com want you to join our team. We are looking
for scholars from connected fields to strengthen our editorial working
group and help the team to handle increased workload after our recent
Web of Science and Scopus indexation.
Founded in 2012, our aim is to maintain a theory-oriented peer-reviewed
journal that presents the best in scholarship on communication and media
theories and applied research, broadly conceived. Our priority is
enabling the publication of research results of good internetional
standard, free of charges to the reader.
We are looking for 3 new editorial board members. Expertise in one or
more of the followings is preferred:
-New media research (pref. in citizen engagement and organizational
innovation and adaptation)
-Communication and media aspects of gender/feminist studies
-Specialisation on regional media situations in Middle-Eastern, Eastern
or Third-world countries
-Promoting the journal to the American and/or the Western-European
community and soliciting submissions from scholars working in
universities strong in social sciences.
Our operations are conducted primarily through online contact (Skype and
e-mail). Board member duties include pre-reviewing submissions for
suitability and soliciting referees to review articles. The new
editorial board member is also expected to involve in fundraising
activities, promotion of the journal, and soliciting submissions. The
positions are non-stipendiary. We welcome applications from emerging and
early-career scholars (including fresh PhDs and post-doctoral fellows).
