*2015 (delayed) – call for entries*

The Society for Animation Studies announces a call for entries for the
(delayed) 2015 McLaren-Lambart Award for the Best Scholarly Book on
Animation. Entries must be a book – both monographs and edited
collections are accepted – published in 2013 or 2014 that contributes to
the field of animation studies. An author must be a current member of
the SAS, and authors must nominate themselves and arrange for the book’s
publisher to provide 4 print copies of the book for the selection
committee. Digital submissions will not be accepted. However, in the
interests of supporting international scholarship, if an author wishes
to submit a book not written in English for consideration they may also
supply supplementary English chapter summaries to help the judging panel
fairly evaluate the book’s merits should the Award Coordinator (Chris
Pallant) not be able to convene a suitably multilingual judging panel.

Entrants should provide contact information and a short summary (up to
300 words) of their book, including what they view as the significant
contribution of the book toward animation studies, and email that to
(chris.pallant /at/ canterbury.ac.uk)
<mailto:(chris.pallant /at/ canterbury.ac.uk)> (Canterbury Christ Church
University). Once the submission window has closed, Chris will convene
the judging panel based on the languages/specialisms required and notify
the authors in contention where their publisher will need to ship the 4
copies (this will probably require international shipping).

The recipient of the McLaren-Lambart Award will be announced this summer.

The deadline for submissions (300w max summaries) is *_29 February 2016_*.
