[ecrea] call for papers: Contributions to cinema theory

CALL FOR PAPERS:
Contributions to cinema theory

Filmmaker’s reflection about their own artworks or about cinema has been
constant in the history of the cinematographic art. This book seeks to
highlight those reflections bringing them to the center of cinema’s
theory, that is, filmmaker’s concepts and thematics as the support to
bring out new or revisited cinema theories. To this end, we propose to
extend the concept of the “filmmaker” to cover not only the director,
but everyone involved in the filmmaking process with original and
stimulating reflections on cinema. Furthermore, we expect book chapters
to find bibliographic support in the films themselves, interviews,
statements or any written text by the filmmakers; any other bibliography
should be residual and secondary.

Proposal for chapters:

 1. Methodology(s) of the "Filmmaker’s theory" as a line of investigation
 2. Concepts of the filmmakers
 3. Filmmaker’s creative process
 4. Cinema theories refreshed by filmmaker's visions (eg: the spectator
    studied according to filmmaker’s reflections)
 5. Relations among filmmakers
 6. Cinema and technology (filmmaker’s relation with technology)
 7. Cinema and other arts (filmmaker’s relations with other arts)
