[ecrea] a position as Doctoral student in Ethnology

Halmstad University, Sweden, invites applications for a position as Doctoral student in Ethnology with an orientation towards Applied Social and Cultural Analysis (ref no HOS 1/14)

The position focuses on applied social and cultural analysis, which is a multidisciplinary field that engages with problems beyond academia while at the same time theorizing and developing new scholarly understandings of such an engagement. The doctoral student will be associated with SCACA (Swedish Centre for Applied Social and Cultural Analysis), which is a joint venture between Halmstad University, Lund University and RMIT, Melbourne, Australia. The doctoral student will be enrolled in the graduate program of Ethnology at Lund University and will have to fulfil the obligations of that graduate program as defined in the general syllabus for doctoral studies in ethnology but will be employed by and physically located at Halmstad University.

This is a full time position from September, 2014, at the School of Social and Health Sciences

This is a temporary position for the equivalent of 4 years of full-time studies which can involve up to 20 percent of activities not bound to doctoral studies but associated with teaching, administrative duties, or research activities that are not linked to the doctoral studies. The appointment will be prolonged with the equivalent amount of time devoted to these activities.
