/Quarterly Review of Film and Video/ celebrates its fiftieth anniversary 
this year. In commemoration, this special issue collates ten original 
essays that reflect on the disciplinary traditions developed over the 
journal's course. In doing so, it represents scholarship across 
generations that continues /QRFV/'s discussion of film and video 
practice from its history into its future
