Vol. 14 No. 1 (2026): Academic and Scientific Cooperation in 
Communication: Dialogue, Reciprocity, and Situated Knowledge

This dossier arises from a set of questions that are both urgent and 
strategic for the contemporary field of communication studies. At a time 
marked by geopolitical tensions, technological transformations, 
institutional asymmetries, democratic fragilities, and renewed debates 
on coloniality, gender, open science, and public communication, academic 
and scientific cooperation can no longer be understood merely as a 
technical matter, an administrative procedure, or a diplomatic extension 
of institutional life. Cooperation must be examined as an 
epistemological, political, communicative, and ethical practice.
