New issue of Essachess. Journal for Communication Studies on 
Mediatization, New Forms of Militancy and Digitalization

Essachess. Journal for Communication Studies has published its most 
recent issue on Mediatization, New Forms of Militancy and Digitalization.
The contributions to this special issue provide complementary views on 
the relationships that are woven between mediatization, activism and 
digitalization. They share a common interest in how activism is 
“narrated” by different actors in different mediated contexts and 
consider activism in the era of mediatization as a socially and 
culturally constructed process with and by the media. From this point of 
view as well as from a methodological perspective based on a diversity 
of approaches, this dossier of Essachess – Journal for Communication 
Studies builds bridges between the different currents of research and 
consolidates an interdisciplinary work characteristic of the field of 
communication sciences

The issue was edited by Mihaela-Alexandra Tudor (Paul Valéry University 
of Montpellier 3, France) and Mohamed Bendahan (Mohammed V University of 
Rabat, Marocco)
