Media Management, Economics and Policy Division

Special issue: Journal of Media Business Studies (JOMBS).
The Media Management, Economics and Policy Division at Nordmedia is
known as a meeting place for researchers in the Nordic countries and
beyond - to present research results, share ongoing work, and initiate
future projects and collaborations. The division invites scholars to
reflect on the management, economics, and policy of mediated
communication, focusing on firms, markets, consumers and institutions.
We encourage submissions reflecting the insights of diverse disciplinary
perspectives and research methodologies, both empirical and theoretical.
We also encourage the sharing of empirical cases, and reflecting on the
comparative differences across national or regional media markets.
The division accepts both full papers and extended abstract. After
notification of acceptance, deadline for full papers /extended abstracts
will be 1 July 2015. The best full papers from this division will be
considered for a special issue of the Journal of Media Business Studies
(JOMBS).
Submissions
The deadline for submitting abstracts to the Nordmedia2015 conference is
25 February 2015. Submissions are made at the Nordmedia website.
Abstracts should describe the content of the intended contribution. They
should be limited to 200-250 words in English or Nordic language.
Abstracts should be submitted online, via an online abstract and paper
handling system, which is available on the Nordmedia website.
http://nordmedia2015.ku.dk/. All abstracts will be reviewed by the
division chairs or others appointed by the division chair.
Full papers
Participants are invited to submit full papers of high quality. Full
papers should be kept within reasonable length and should not extend 15
pages (4.500 words).
Work-in-progress (extended abstracts)
Extended abstracts are suited to present research-in-progress. They
should contain an overview of the research question, relevant
background, methodological approach, and preliminary findings /
discussions. The final submission should not exceed 4 pages (1.500 words).
The positive, engaged and collegial atmosphere has made the Media
Management, Economics and Policy Division one of the most active
divisions at Nordmedia. We are also encouraging the growing number of
European and other international participants.
