[ecrea] New Issue of Journal of American Studies in Turkey

The JOURNAL OF AMERICAN STUDIES OF TURKEY, a transdisciplinary journal 
dedicated to looking at the idea of 'America' as reconstructed in 
different contexts, has been issued since 1995. It is currently listed 
in the MLA International Bibliography and EBSCO Host. It will shortly be 
added to the list of the Arts and Humanities Citation Index 
periodicals.  The new issue, just out, contains articles on:
Transdisciplinary Education
The Coen Brothers and Genre Construction
Ezra Pound's adaptation and translation of the No Theatre
Radio Adaptations
Christopher Nolan and Film Noir
Art history and transdisciplinarity
Infidelity in Adaptation
There are also extensive book and film review sections, with texts 
reviewed including books on Ridley Scott, Francis Ford Coppola, W. H. 
Auden, Turco-American relations, Elif Shafak, the opera singer Camilla 
Williams, academic films for the classroom, American Media, New 
Materialism; and Hugo (2011), Midnight in Paris (2011), The Hunger Games 
(2012) and The Incredible Turk (1958).
Contributors include James M. Welsh, Paul J. Magnarella, Lance Eaton
Annual subscriptions the journal will soon be available online, together 
with downloadable copies of all the articles and reviews in current and 
previous issues, at www.asat-jast.org.  The website is currently under 
construction.

JAST is always looking for submissions in the area of transdisciplinary 
studies, American Studies, film and media studies and literary studies.  
It is particularly interested in areas of cultural and disciplinary 
crossover - not just in the Turkish or Middle Eastern contexts, but in 
all contexts.  Contributions should be between 4-6000 words, although we 
welcome shorter op-ed pieces of 1500-2000 words.  If you have any ideas 
for submissions, please contact the Editor-in-Chief.
