Organised by MeCCSA Radio Studies Network and Charles Parker Trust

University of Sunderland


Please consider SAVING THE DATE for our forthcoming radio conference'Creative Audio Praxis - Radio in the Reel World', which will be held at the University of Sunderland in partnership/conjunction with the Charles Parker Day. The conference will be in person with some options for online viewing of presentations.


Keynotes:

    of Sussex

    Peter Lewis, Professor of Media and Culture, London Metropolitan
    University

    Tim Wall, Professor of Radio and Popular Music Studies, Birmingham
    City University


The dates to save are: Friday 31 March 12.00 - Saturday 1st April 2023 6pm


March 31st: The Charles Parker Dayis a well established event in the national radio conference calendar which brings together practitioners, researchers and media teachers to consider developments in radio and television that maintain the spirit of Parker’s work in a UK and international context.


April 1st: Creative Audio Praxis - Radio in the Reel World’s theme is research and practice about diverse creative radio, audio and podcasting as well as celebrating the Radio Studies Network’s 25 year anniversary. Speakers and panels will include UK and international radio practitioners.


A full call for papers for Creative Audio Praxis - Radio in the Reel World  will be released in January 2023.
