Thu Jul 22 12:49:50 GMT 2021

This is the First call for papers for the 9th European Conference on Social Media (ECSM 2022) to be hosted by the Pedagogical University of Krakow, Poland on the 12 – 13th May 2022.
This call is open until the 20th October 2021.

After a successful Virtual conference for ECSM 2021 we are hoping to be able to meet in person for a physical event in Krakow, Poland in May 2022. We know however that the events of this year have had a longer lasting impact on participants’ ability and willing to travel for events. Therefore we are planning for ECSM 2022 to be a “hybrid” conference. Meaning that it will be physical event with virtual elements built into it to create an experience for both those who can attend in person and those able to attend online.

Next year at ECSM we are looking to expand the focus of the conference to encompass a greater range of digital media subjects. We will be welcoming research in areas such as web design, graphic design, video production. ECSM has established itself as a home for researchers and practitioners with a wide range of approaches to engaging with the impact, use and potential of social media across disciplines. The conference committee welcomes contributions on a wide array of topics using a range of scholarly approaches including theoretical and empirical papers employing qualitative, quantitative and critical methods. ECSM 2022 will offer you the ideal opportunity to experience Cyprus, network with academics and practitioners, exchange ideas and develop new insights.
