        *Call for Paper for the **/Connectist: Istanbul University
        Journal of Communication Sciences/**Themed Issue of 2019//*

        /Connectist: Istanbul University Journal of Communication
        Sciences/is an open access and peer-reviewed scholarly
        journalthat is indexed in the Web of Science—Emerging Sources
        Citation Index (ESCI) and Ulakbim TR Index—and covered in the
        databases of ProQuest and CrossRef. The Journal has identified
        the theme of its 56th issue (June, 2019) as “New Methods in
        Activism and Sustainable Communication for Social Movements.”

        We welcome contributions from any perspective such as (but not
        limited to) the following:

        *Redefining Activism and Its Advocacy*

        Internet Activism, Activism in Transition by Social Media,
        Activism as a Popular Culture and Globalization Phenomenon,
        Activism as a New Fame Tool, Political Communication and
        Activist Expansions, The Relationship Between Consumption

        *Activism and Transmedia Narratives*

        Activism in Films and TV Series, Activism Influence in Games and
        Toys, Interactive Participation Culture and Comparative
        Marketing Communications of Passive Media

        *Activism in the Context of NGOs and Media Relations*

        Social Media Usage of NGOs, Civil Society Advocacy and Social
        Movements, Advantageous and Disadvantaged Groups and
        Transformational Activism, Target Audience and Dialog on
        Strategic and Sustainable Communication Framework

        Within the given theoretical framework, please feel free to
        apply different perspectives from various fields to support your
        claim/hypothesis/research question in the manuscript. Your
        valuable manuscript must conform to the Journal’s submission and
        writing rules.
