Introduction

Cultural policy that regulates, protects, encourages and supports activities related to the arts, creative sectors, language, heritage and diversity. Nowadays cultural policy is affected by digital technologies which made fundamental changes in human communication. This book focuses on creating a cultural policy through digital communication and maintaining existing cultural policies digitally. The editors will seek chapters that address different aspects of cultural policy in digital communication such as digital communication in the process of understanding cultural values, digital in the production of contemporary cultures, digital integration of cultural data, sustainable cultural values, language policy and digitalization from a cultural perspective, libraries through digital communication, digitalization in cinema and related topics. All topics will be discussed from communication perspective. How is the digital communication used to create attitudes and perceptions, reinforce or change?

Objective

This comprehension and timely publication aim to be an essential reference source, building on the available literature in the field of cultural policies implementation in digital media while providing for further research opportunities in this dynamic field. It is hoped that this text will provide the resources necessary for policy makers, academicians, students, international and national organizations.

Target Audience

Academicians, researchers, advanced-level students, international and national organizations, and government officials will find this text useful in furthering their research exposure to pertinent topics in social and cultural policies in digital media.

Submission Procedure

Contributors are invited to submit on or before October 30, a chapter proposal of 1000 to 1,500 words clearly identifying the topic of the chapter. Proposals should be submitted through the IGI-Global submission system. Authors will be notified of the status of their proposal no later November 30, 2017. Once accepted, all submitted chapters must be original, of high quality and approximately 10,000 words in length at the publication stage. All submissions will be refereed through a double-blind review process. Author(s) of the accepted proposal are required to submit their full chapter no later than February 28, 2018 to facilitate the review process. Submitted chapters should not have been previously published nor be currently under review for publication at other venues. Submissions should follow the manuscript format guidelines from IGI Global.
