[ecrea] Call for researchers: New study on 'Policy frameworks for digital platforms'

*CALL FOR RESEARCHERS*
IT for Change seeks to collaborate with researchers and scholars from
seven sites in the global South (three in Asia, two in Africa, two in
South America) and three in the global North (Europe and North America)
for a research project, ‘Policy Frameworks for digital platforms-Moving
from openness to inclusion’, supported by the International Development
Research Centre (IDRC), Canada. The research will span a 14 month period
beginning October 2017.
A total of USD 13000 will be provided as grant per site. Research
scholars/ teams are expected to submit a brief expression of interest
by**August 31, 2017. If shortlisted, they will be invited to develop a
detailed proposal. IT for Change will work closely with researchers/
teams from the proposal development stage through the research process,
until completion, for conceptual and analytical coherence across sites.
We are looking for researchers from varied fields of expertise. We
encourage multi-disciplinary approaches and teams, although individual
research scholars are not discouraged. The country lead will have
demonstrated research expertise in the areas of digital society / economy.
Preference will be given to candidates affiliated with universities or
registered research organizations.
