THE NINTH INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE

THE BRIDGES OF MEDIA EDUCATION 2017

15-16. September 2017.

Novi Sad, Serbia


The Department of Media Studies invites you to the 9th International 
Conference Bridges of Media Education 2017 to be held on 15th and 16th 
September 2017 at the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Novi Sad, Serbia.


For eight year The Bridges of Media Education bring gather and connect 
researchers from the Western Balkans region and from Europe in exchange 
of scientific knowledge and experience. Thematically oriented towards 
regional challenges and questions brought by digital technologies, the 
conference enables discussions about global processes in the light of 
local specificities. The themes of the conference in 2017 are:


- Public media broadcasters, digitization and the Internet

- Minority media, digitization and the Internet

- Marginalized groups, religious groups, digital environment and the 
Internet

- Migrants/refugees and the Internet

- Social networks, online platforms and media

- Digital media literacy.


Working language of the conference is English.

One author can submit only one paper. There cannot be more than two 
co-authors per paper.


Your application should be sent not later than 10th April 2017. The 
applications received after the deadline will not be considered. All 
accepted applicants will receive a notice of acceptance by 1st May 2017.



Edited volume


Selected papers that will be peer-reviewed will be published in the 
Edited Volume after the Conference. The deadline for submission of full 
length papers is 1st September 2017. Instructions for manuscript 
submission will be provided after 1st May 2017.


Participation fee


Conference fee is 20 euros and it covers the costs of lunches and 
refreshments. International participants can pay the fee in one of the 
Serbian banks upon their arrival in Novi Sad. Instructions for advance 
payments can be provided upon request. Participants are expected to make 
their own arrangements for travel and accommodation.
