The Communication Law and Policy Section (CLP) of the European Communication Research and Education Association (ECREA) is inviting the submission of abstracts in all areas of media, communication and cultural law and policy for the forthcoming conference in collaboration with the Hans Bredow Institute, and the University of Hamburg and the Hamburg Media School in Hamburg, Germany from 12 to 15 October 2010.

The general theme of the conference is 'Transcultural Communication, Intercultural Comparisons'. The organisers call for proposals in all fields of communication and media studies, but particularly invite conceptual, empirical, and methodological proposals on inter- and transcultural communication phenomena and/or on comparative research.

*CLP* welcomes cross-and-inter-disciplinary proposals, proposals on emerging but also long-standing themes, methodologies and approaches.

CLP encourages the submission of critical work and work that pushes the boundaries of the field and the study of communication policy, its theorisation and conceptualisation.

Please visit the CLP website <http://commlawpolicy.wordpress.com/>http://commlawpolicy.wordpress.com/ for the activities of the section.
