We are extending the Call for Papers for the conference Media
& Governance in Latin America, to be held at University of Sheffield on
25 and 26 June 2015. Would it be possible to disseminate the news
through ECREA's email listing?
Media & Governance in Latin America 2015
Communication, Power and Society
*The University of Sheffield, 25-26 June 2015*
*Extended deadline: 20 April 2015*
Traditional and digital media have become key actors in the young
democracies of Latin America and the Caribbean over the last few years.
Media actors have influenced the configuration of good governance across
the region, due not only to their important role as a channel between
civil society and the state, but also to their ability to shape the
power structures of society.
This conference will explore the connections between the media and
models of governance in the region, from both a comparative and an
interdisciplinary perspective.
We are inviting submissions of abstracts for papers by 20 April 2015.
