[ecrea] Communication, Postcoloniality, and Social Justice: Decolonizing Imaginations

From March 26-29, 2015, Villanova University's Waterhouse Family
Institute for the Study of Communication and Society will proudly host
its 2015 symposium, “Communication, Postcoloniality, and Social Justice:
Decolonizing Imaginations.” The organizers, Dr. Bryan Crable and Dr.
Raka Shome are pleased to announce that the conference program is now
available online.
This exciting and innovative four-day international conference will be
bringing together scholars from across the globe to chart some possible
pathways for the future of Communication and Media Studies.
Distinguished keynote speakers include Arjun Appadurai, Inderpal Grewal,
and Ravi Sundaram. There are also fifteen distinguished plenary speakers.

The organizers also welcome scholars and individuals who may not be
presenting at the conference but would still like to attend the
presentations and events. Villanova, a suburb of Philadelphia (17 miles
from Philadelphia), is easily accessible by car, train, or airplane from
many parts of the country (commuter trains from Philadelphia regularly
stop at the Villanova Station, on the Philadelphia Main Line. >From New
York, it is about 2 hours by car or train; from DC about 1 to 1 1/2
hours, from Boston about 4 hours or so). Those wishing to attend the
conference are required to register so as to access the presentations
and be a part of the various receptions/dinners provided for all
attendees. For those needing accommodation, there are rooms remaining in
the conference block of rooms at the Radnor Hotel.
