PHD SCHOLARSHIP – Digital Play: Social network sites and the well-being 
of young children



Digital Play: Social network sites and the well-being of young children 
is an ARC funded research project being undertaken at the School of 
Communications and Arts, Edith Cowan University, Perth. The project has 
a PhD scholarship attached to it of $27,000 per year and a $2000 
relocation allowance. We are now looking for expressions of interest to 
commence in Semester 2, 2014.



The PhD student will carry out an ethnographic exploration of children’s 
virtual worlds, exploring online peer-to-peer social interactions and 
the development of children’s digital social skills. If you are
