Position Announcement:

The Gulf University for Science and Technology (GUST) is Kuwait's first 
private, American-model university. GUST currently offers programs in 
Arts and Sciences, and Business—including an MBA.

The Department of Mass Communication in the College of Arts and Sciences 
at GUST invites applications for full-time positions in Public Relations 
or Strategic Communication. The Department offers a B.A. Degree with 
concentrations in Public Relations and Advertising, Visual 
Communication, and Radio/TV broadcasting. There are approximately 400 
majors overall with the largest majority concentrating in PR.

Applicants with a Ph.D. in Communication and professional public 
relations experience are preferred; Applicants with expertise in 
international public relations, advertising or strategic communication, 
social media, or rhetoric/persuasion are highly desirable.

Duties may include teaching undergraduate courses in public relations 
and advertising, strategic communication, integrated marketing 
communication, as well as general courses in persuasive writing, 
communication theory and methods. Additional duties include advising PR 
students, engaging in scholarship, and institutional service.

Candidates are required to have completed all requirements for their 
doctorate at the time of appointment. Applications will be considered on
