The School of Marketing, Public Relations and Communications is a newly formed School bringing together

two of our leading academic areas. Our work in Public Relations and Communications is among the best known in Europe, specialising in undergraduate, postgraduate and professional courses in public relations and corporate communication. This year we celebrate our 21st anniversary of Public Relations education. Our team includes national, award-winning academics, while our students win national and international prizes on an annual basis (Chartered Institute of Public Relations, EUPRERA). In 2008, we launched a BA (Hons) Journalism degree which added to our portfolio of applied communication courses that equip students for the world of work.

Successful candidates will have a PhD in a relevant discipline, a teaching qualification and/or experience of teaching in higher education, as well as experience or a research interest in one or more of the following:

· Digital/online PR

· Corporate communication

· International/intercultural public relations

· Issues and crisis PR

· Internal communication

Candidates appointed at Senior Lecturer level will be expected to contribute to the University’s research and enterprise activity. Details of current research and enterprise activity in the PR and Communications area is at:
