Please find attached details of a one-day event  at Newcastle
University's Culture Lab on 26th May, 2011, titled:  "Science Fiction in
the Present: Military Technology and Contemporary Culture."

Speakers will include Noel Sharkey (Sheffield University); Stephen
Graham (Newcastle University); Mark Dorrian (Newcastle University);
David Cunningham (University of Westminster); Matt Carr (Independent
Scholar); John Beck (Newcastle University); and Iain Boal (Birkbeck/
Retort). The event is being co-organised by Stephen Graham and Mark
Dorrian of Newcastle University's School of Architecture, Planning and
Landscape.
