RADIOS FOR THE DEVELOPMENT
On the occasion of the delivery of the
International Price King Baudouin for the
Development 2008-2009 for the radio news agency KBR68H ( Indonesia ),
« for its contribution to a sustainable
development based on the intensification of the
democracy, the tolerance and the participation
citizen, by the production and the circulation
of a quality information in a network of
regional radios as well as the promotion of a
professional ethics in the world of the media. »
The doctoral School in Information and
Communication of the French Community and the Department of communication (UCL)
invite you to participate in a working seminar
with the prize-winners of this Price, around the
subject ?Media and development ? which will be
held on Monday, May 18th, 2009 from 2 pm till 4 pm in Louvain-la-Neuve.
The three awarded project managers steer the
Indonesian KBR68H news agency, the radio ?Green
Radio? of Djakarta and a NGO of journalistic and technicians radio training.
The seminar is opened to all the students, to
the PhD students and to the researchers of the
various universities and the high schools
interested in the questions of the media as an
help for the development, of the survival of
independent media in countries in democratic
transition, the links between media and citizenship
