[ecrea] Screen Studies South West Symposium

SCREEN STUDIES SOUTH WEST SYMPOSIUM Friday 5th June 2009 University College, Falmouth

We are pleased to announce that Screen Studies South West, the regional network for all those involved in screen studies and screen heritage in the South West, is holding the first symposium under its auspices. This will take place on 5th June and is kindly hosted by University College, Falmouth at its Tremough campus.

We are issuing an open call for papers on any aspect of moving image study for the event, and we are particularly keen to receive submissions from:
Early years scholars
Postgraduate students
Research work in progress from more established scholars

Please note that submissions should be from those based in the government South West region (Cornwall, Devon, Dorset/Bournemouth, Wiltshire, Somerset, Gloucestershire/Bristol). The event will be from 10am to 5pm and lunch will be provided.

Please contact Anna Misiak (<mailto:(Anna.Misiak /at/ falmouth.ac.uk)>(Anna.Misiak /at/ falmouth.ac.uk)) or myself (<mailto:(P.J.Wickham /at/ exeter.ac.uk)>(P.J.Wickham /at/ exeter.ac.uk)) with abstracts of up to 300 words by May 22nd.
