Description: Purchase College SUNY invites applications for a full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor in Television Studies beginning fall 2010 (subject to budgetary approval). This position is shared by the Cinema Studies Board of Study in the School of Humanities and the Film Program in the Conservatory of Theatre Arts and Film. The ideal candidate will be able to teach a variety of cinema studies courses; all newly appointed faculty contribute one course each year to the college's general education program. Candidates with the ability to integrate a production component into their courses are especially encouraged to apply. Qualifications: A Ph.D. in Cinema Studies or related field and some prior teaching experience by the time of appointment are required.
