Head of School
New Zealand Broadcasting School
Faculty of Creative Industries
Christchurch Polytech, New Zealand
CPIT's New Zealand Broadcasting School (NZBS) is the premier
national provider of advanced applied training in television, film,
digital media and radio performance & production in New Zealand.
With approximately 190 equivalent full-time students (EFTs) we offer
a Bachelors degree in Broadcasting Communication with streams in
Television, Radio, and Journalism plus Diploma programmes of study.
This may be your opportunity to help shape the future of
Broadcasting in New Zealand, to lead a talented group of academics
and professionals in a pre-eminent School, and to express your
interest in the educational potential of the broadcasting world.
Experience in tertiary education and a qualification in an area
within the School's focus are essential for this role. You will
understand the media broadly, in the context of its rapidly changing
nature and how this might impact educational outcomes. Strong and
enduring links to
industry will testify to the respect you have garnered in your profession.
Exceptional people management, sound financial skills, and
leadership in developing pathways and programmes of study will be
your forte. Passion, insight and flair will underscore your
capability to maintain a high profile for the School, to identify
new and emerging training and
education needs in Broadcasting and to ensure programmes maintain
relevance and vibrancy.
