submission deadline for KMIS 2009 (International
Conference on Knowledge Management and
Information Sharing) has been extended to May
12, which is rapidly approaching in case you are
interested in submitting a paper reflecting your research.
KMIS will be held in Funchal, Madeira (a
Portuguese sub-tropical island in the Atlantic), next October 6-8.

Please note that this conference is co-located
and part of the Joint Conference on Knowledge
Discovery, Knowledge Engineering and Knowledge
Management (IC3K - www.ic3k.org) and
registration to one entitles attendance to all three concurrent conferences.
The proceedings will be indexed by the DBLP
Computer Science Bibliography. Additionaly, a
selection of the best papers of the conference
will be published in a book, by Springer-Verlag
in the series "Communications in Computer and Information Science".
Best paper awards will be distributed during the conference.
Special sessions can still be proposed. If you'd
like to take the opportunity to gather your R&D
project group or hold a meeting within the scope
of IC3K at the conference venue, please contact
the secretariat. Special sessions are composed
of invited papers which, after proper review by
the special session chair, will be included in the conference proceedings.
