EU FP 7 Project, ICTethics - An Interdisciplinary Approach for Addressing
Ethical, Social and Legal Aspects of ICT
Applications are invited for a Research Assistant to work on the
inter-disciplinary EU FP-7 funded project, ICTethics - An Interdisciplinary
Approach for Addressing Ethical, Social and Legal Aspects of ICT under the
direction of Professor Juliet Lodge. The Research Assistant will provide
support to the team in developing new methods for inter-disciplinary
research, present research findings, prepare papers, and undertake desk
research. Some travel primarily within the EU will be required. The
appointee should possess a degree in one of the following areas: social
sciences, information sciences, communications, culture and arts, business,
or medical sciences and postgraduate research experience; familiarity with
EU policymaking in respect of biometrics and the information society is
desirable.
University Grade 6 (£24,152- £28,839 p.a. pro rata) It is likely that an
appointment will be made below £26,391 p.a. since there are funding
limitations which dictate the level at which the appointment can start.
