[Commlist] Public Service Media in the Age of Platforms - Final Report published

The Public Service Media in the Age of Platforms (PSM-AP) project has 
just published its final report:

Over the past three years, PSM-AP project has examined the state of 
public service television across seven media markets and ten public 
service broadcasters: RTBF (Wallonia, Belgium), VRT (Flanders, Belgium), 
CBC (Canada), (DR) Denmark, RAI (Italy), TVP (Poland), and BBC, ITV and 
Channel 4 (UK). The research addresses a critical question: how is the 
rise of global platforms and streaming services reshaping public service 
media (PSM) regulation, policy, and broadcaster practices?
The final report highlights four major hurdles faced by all PSBs in our 
study, regardless of differences in size, media market or digital 
transition, explores how they are reshaping the values that underpin 
public service broadcasting, and sets out recommendations for 
policymakers, regulators and industry.
