The editors of the Communication Papers: Media Literacy & Gender Studies
(ISSN 2014-6752) are pleased to announce that the new issue is now
available.

This special issue deals with the effects of the development of media
and communication technologies on gender relations and how gender
approaches are reflected in media and gender studies. The relationship
between digital platforms and gender is complex and influenced by
various factors. However, with the rise of social media, there has been
an increased focus on the experiences of women and marginalized
individuals facing the new digital platforms and their relationship with
gender. Communication Papers: Media Literacy & Gender Studies (ISSN
2014-6752) by the University of Girona is a peer-reviewed,open access
electronic journal, published in English, Spanish and Catalan twice a
year. Based in disciplines of media and communication studies, the
journal focuses on journalism, audiovisual communication and
advertising, with particular emphasis on the issues of gender treatment
and media literacy. Communication Papers focuses on publishing articles
on mass communication from diverse perspectives.
