Issue 2023.1 - Monograph "Radio and Sports"
Sports are part of the nature of radio. Whether in the coverage of local, regional and national championships or major events such as the Olympics and World Cups, it is highlighted in programming. In recent years, in the wake of narrative innovation and the new dynamics of production and circulation of content, sports radio has also metamorphosed, appropriating digital spaces, building audio and parasound narratives and, yet, maintaining the link with the listener and with local content. From amateur championships to Olympic broadcasts, from soccer to F1 racing, from informative coverage to analysis and special productions, sports takes the dial. In the podosphere, besides informative journalism, in-depth productions or narratives that think about political relations or human rights in sports have been protagonists. In this context, Radiofonias encourages submissions that propose theoretical reflections, case studies and/or stem from research projects involving, but not limited to:
- Coverage of major sporting events;
- Innovation of sports radio;
- Sports radio and local journalism;
- Sports narration;
- Podcasting and sports production.
 >> Deadline: March 24, 2023

Edition 2023.2 - Monograph "90 years of La Radia - Futurist Manifesto of October 1933 The futurist manifesto La Radia was published in the newspaper Gazzetta del Popolo in Turin, Italy, on September 22, 1933. The document marks a new moment in the Futurist movement, which understand machines by their metaphysical and spiritual character, going beyond their material perspective. In the wake of this change in conception and aesthetics, interest in science broadened, bringing Futurism closer to the communicative possibilities of radio. From the manifesto derive concepts and ideals that consider radio as art, observing how noise, music, theatricality, among others, contributed to the composition of a futurist aesthetic of the medium. The interface between science, art, and technology allows for the understanding of radio's artistic possibilities. In this context, Radiofonias encourages submissions that propose theoretical reflections, case studies, and/or stem from research projects involving, but not limited to:
- Impacts of manifesto on radio;
- Radio art;
- Relationships between radio, science, and technology;
- Futurism and radio;
- Contemporary radio art.
 >> Deadline: June 30, 2023
