[Commlist] New Book: Videogames and Agency
Tue Feb 07 17:33:45 GMT 2023
The book/Videogames and Agency/is officially out. It is part of the
Routledge Advances in Game Studies series, and, it is open access! The
book draws on game design and game studies discourses to theorise
agency, and dives into three interestingly different case studies to
examine how design intention about what the player/avatar could/should
do can translate to actual design. The book could be of interest to
readers specifically interested in videogames, such as game studies
scholars or game designers, but also to media studies students and media
and screen studies scholars less familiar with digital games.
