Organized by the *Center of Research and Communication for Peace (CRCP)* at the Faculty of Communication & Media Studies, Eastern Mediterranean University, this year’s conference will take place under the theme *“Truth and Trust in the Age of AI.”*

As artificial intelligence increasingly shapes the ways in which information is produced, distributed, and consumed, questions of truth, trust, credibility, ethics, transparency, and accountability have become central to communication and media studies. The conference aims to bring together scholars, researchers, early-career academics, and graduate students working in the field of communication and media studies to exchange ideas, present research findings, and discuss emerging challenges and opportunities in AI-shaped media environments.

We welcome paper submissions in English and Turkish on a wide range of topics, including but not limited to journalism, news and information integrity; political communication and democracy; digital and social media platforms; human-machine communication; strategic communication, advertising and public relations; visual communication and digital culture; communication ethics; media and AI literacy; culture, identity and representation; peace communication; and emerging research methods in communication and AI.

*Submission Deadline:* 28 September 2026

Abstracts should be no longer than 250 words. The submission link is available at: https://crcp.emu.edu.tr/en/conference-2026/application <https://crcp.emu.edu.tr/en/conference-2026/application>

We warmly invite members of the IAMCR community and all scholars in the field of communication and media studies to submit their work and contribute to this timely and important academic discussion.
