[Commlist] Call for Applications - Postdoctoral Research Assistant 'Digital Al-Andalus: Radical Perspective Of and Through Al-Andalus'

We are excited to share this call for applications for a postdoctoral research assistant for our project 'Digital Al-Andalus: Radical Perspective Of and Through Al-Andalus'. It is a 36-months (fixed term) full-time position based in the School of Arts, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at Queen Mary University of London.

The post-holder will undertake research and impact activities connected to the study of online discourses about cultural coexistence and confrontation in North Africa and Iberia. The post-holder is expected to work on themes linked to the main project to develop notions of digital citizenship and digital warfare in collaboration with, and under the supervision of the PI. Potential candidates must hold a PhD in Cultural Studies, Media and Communication, Digital Cultures, or other relevant subject in Humanities and Social Sciences. Prior experience in planning and delivering public engagement or outreach activities, data collection and analysis, and writing up research results is essential. Even if English is not the first language of the candidate, writing skills in this language must be accessible, accurate, and engaging. High level of proficiency in Arabic is also essential, and Spanish is desirable.
