[Commlist] call for individual consultancy / UNESCO IITE

UNESCO Institute for Information Technologies in Education (UNESCO
IITE) is looking for an individual consultant *expertise and experience
in desktop research in the area of comparative education and / or ICT in
education and / or Gender Studies* to produce a Guidance on promoting
gender equality by means of ICT and AI in education. The target group
for the Guidance are educators from around the world (mainly from
developing countries) who would thus be equipped with the provided
advanced practices to enable timely interventions and promote gender
equality in use of ICT and AI for education in various parts of the world.

The resulting Guidance shall include:
- Desktop review of identified existing challenges for achieving gender
equality in use of ICT and AI for education such as technological,
sociocultural, economic, etc.;
- Encouraging practices from school and TVET – minimum of 12 (twelve)
schools and TVET institutions (one case per institution) from three
(Global South) regions; (important: each case study must be accompanied
by multimedia materials including illustrative photos and videos with
copyright information);
- Recommendations for educators.
Interested individuals are invited to submit their applications in

The official application shall include:
- Candidate’s latest Curriculum Vitae.
- A statement indicating how the candidate’s qualifications and
experience make him/her suitable for the assignment.
- An indication of the approach and intended activities the candidate
would adopt to carry out the assignment, including any inputs that may
be required from UNESCO IITE.
- Proposed budget (in USD).
