[Commlist] 2nd Journal of Class and Culture Conference

Second Conference of the Journal of Class and Culture hosted by 
Liverpool John Moores University in collaboration with the University of 
Hertfordshire

Building on the success of last years conference we are happy to 
announce the second Journal of Class and Culture Conference to be held 
in Liverpool.  The /Journal of Class & Culture/ is a provocative 
theoretical and empirical intervention into debates concerning 
class and culture. Rejecting and challenging the rendering of class as 
an archaic concept we engage with class as a dynamic category actively 
shaped by the changing demands of neoliberalism.
This  one day conference is an opportunity to bring together those with 
lived experience of the conference themes, individuals or groups who 
want to get more informed on issues related to class and culture and 
those who are actively committed to ensuring a positive future for the 
working-class (something we hope to discuss at the conference ).
It is also an opportunity to meet the editors and discuss ideas for 
contributions to the journal and ways to take the journal forward.
The publishers will also be there and are keen to discuss book proposals.
