[Commlist] CFP Versus 2024

Thu May 25 03:25:39 GMT 2023

Call for Papers VS 2024

"VS. Quaderni di Studi semiotici" opens a call for papers for the section Research and Topics. As it is an opened section, there are no thematic guidelines.

Contributions can be in Italian, English, and French and must not exceed 45,000 characters, spaces bibliography and footnotes included.

Only original articles from various fields of study will be considered, provided they address relevant and semiotic-interesting topics. Contributions can therefore be theoretical, historical or analytical in nature, with analyses of specific case studies. Only articles of quality, scientific excellence, originality, and semiotic relevance (without prejudice to any epistemological orientation) will be sent out for external peer-review process.

Manuscripts must be completely anonymous, removing any references that may make authors identifiable (e.g., name, email, direct references to their person or previous work) and uploaded to the platform available at https://tinyurl.com/versus24 <https://tinyurl.com/versus24>, in .rtf or .doc format (not .pdf); a file indicating authors' affiliation and postal and electronic contact details must be uploaded separately. The editorial guidelines to be followed are available here: http://web.dfc.unibo.it/versus/VS_guidelines_ENG.pdf <http://web.dfc.unibo.it/versus/VS_guidelines_ENG.pdf>

Articles submitted by *31/10/2023* will be considered for publication in issue *1/2024* (July 2024);

Articles submitted by *29/02/2024 *will be considered for publication in issue *2/2024* (December 2024).

The journal does not require any article processing fees; authors will receive a complimentary copy of the issue containing their publication. However, by submitting an article for consideration, authors are expected to commit to not publishing it elsewhere and to allow for the appropriate waiting period before its release in VS.
